It’s officially Summer and that means is wedding season too! I love getting dressed up for a wedding and seeing everyone in their frocks! This year there is a real floral vibe, from bold bright flowers to pretty vintage prints, there is a flower print out there for you! Talking of trends, the biggest trend this season has to be the off the shoulder Bardot top. This super stylish look is great for any age, size or shape it’s just about choosing the right one that you feel comfortable in!
Its important to feel comfortable in your dress especially if you are attending the day and night of the wedding. This Summer there has been an explosion of floral prints and I particularly love this poppy flower print
The bold print and orange colours on the dress work really well together. The dress is a midi length which falls just below the knee making a the ideal length for a wedding. Wearing metallic or nude accessories would give this dress a stylish finish.
For more of a muted look, this blurred skater dress has a more vintage feel. The aline skater skirt is great for hiding any unwanted curves and makes for a real comfortable dress to wear. To complete the look I would pick out the black and opt for black shoes and maybe a black fascinator to really make this dress stand out. This would be an ideal dress for the races too.
If you are not one for wearing bright colours and like to stick to more darker shades such as black and navy then this Jessica Wright dress maybe the a good choice. The navy base is understated whilst the pretty floral print adds a touch of colour. The dress is v neck and ruched which is great for hiding tummy and is flattering on a fuller bust.
Maybe floral prints are just not your thing. There are other options available and I like this nautical stripe dress that has just a little splash of flowers on it. Being black and white it’s a classic look and this cotton easy to wear dress would look perfect with heels for a wedding or teamed with a sandal for a smarter day time look.
Perhaps the biggest trend this summer! The off the shoulder top is sexy and sophisticated. Any age or shape can wear them. Being elasticated at the top, they will stay in place making them look good and comfortable to wear at the same time.
This pretty boho embroidery top works with any colour. Team with denim jeans or shorts, its ideal to wear on your holidays or for a night out with the girls. The frill is great for hiding any larger busts whilst adding depth to a smaller bust.
The bardot styles is also available in either a dress or a playsuit like the one pictured. This stunning playsuit features a longer overlay skirt at the back and combined with off shoulder neck line is a real head turner. This is a real classy number ideal for a summer night out or special occasion.
If bardot tops are really not your thing, then why not try a cold shoulder top which is a top that has a cut out piece only exposing your shoulder. This tunic dress cold shoulder style is great for wearing as a dress or over a bikini on holiday or even worn with leggings. This way you are able to get the trend without feeling too exposed.
Another option is the one shoulder styles. This stunning one shoulder frill dress has an asymmetric neckline and is a lovely shape on your top half. A strapless bra can be worn with this dress if needed. The shape of this is great for curvy figures as the one shoulder defines the bust and waist whilst drawing attention away from your hips.
