Opting for an evening dress can look just as nice as a traditional bridesmaids dress but allows the wearer more opportunity to wear it again. It can be cold still in March so if wearing a dress I would choose one that can be worn with tights. Black tights are perfectly acceptable to wear especially if the dress is a lighter colour. I would suggest opting for a dress with a slight sleeve to take the chill off. Often people ask me what to wear over a dress and the best suggestion would be to team with a pashmina so as not to spoil the look of your outfit. Well now is a good time to start shopping, as there are some great new styles in the shops. As it’s your birthday you definitely deserve something that’s new as you’ll want to show off your new outfit to your family and friends. Just because you are heading out for a meal does not mean you shouldn’t dress up.
